Originally bred out of “English Sunshine” and a native North American hop variety by the USDA, “Comet” was released in 1972. When being grown in Germany, this variety reveals a unique flavour which especially emerges in dry hopping. Its flavor reminds of blueberries and its taste is totally different when the variety is grown in the USA.
